Taylor woke up in a great mode today. She was all smiles and was in a joking mode. She had a good night sleep. She started the morning off with a requested cinnamon roll. After breakfast she had her trach changed, her teeth brushed and face cleaned. She followed up with a little shopping online. The nurses say that they plan to get her into her chair and take her for a little stroll. Taylor had time to sneak in a afternoon nap prior to the ride. Taylor reluctantly went for her ride today. She was in the chair for about 45 minutes but she did not leave the hospital due to the weather. Today the family found out that Taylor will be transferred to Shriners early in January. She will be the first patient accepted on a ventilator. The same team of surgeons will do the Phrenic Pacer procedure in the Shriners facility. Taylor's doctors are excited about the move. It is a more modern facility and is much more "kid friendly". In the afternoon Taylor read some of the wonderful emails that people have sent her. She is trying to respond to them when she gets a chance. Thank you all for your overwhelming support for Taylor.

Hello Taylor-
I am so glad to hear that you had such an awesome day. Wow, you got to shopping online again today, you are pretty lucky. So what did you pick out today, I saw that you ordered some cool PJ's the other day. I had asked your dad in a previous post to see about getting a few "Hope for taylor buttons", I know your dad has been very busy but ask him if he coould email me as to where I could pick up a few. In addition to that do you have a DVD player or a VHS player in your room. I would like to send you a few things but wanted to make sure they would be of use to you first. How was your trip in your chair today, I'm glad to see that you were able to sneak in a nap before your adventure today. I also noticed that you had a posting from two little girls by the name of Darian and Payton. I believe you know them from a stable in Durham. I think I might know these little girls. If they are who I think, they used to live in Colusa and I was their Dance teacher. Wow, what a small world. I also hear that you like to sing, have you been singing any Christmas Carols lately? What is your favorite song to sing? I also like to sign however, I have been told a time or two not to quit my day job. I think they are trying to be nice and tell me that I am not very good a singing. Well I hope you have a great nights sleep and I look forward to hearing about your progress. Lots of love and prayers.

Love-
Andy & Kelli Garcia- Colusa

Kelli~ I don't know if Chad has gotten back to you yet but she has a DVD & VHS player in the room. Also, I was working on getting the buttons but haven't seen them yet. I actually was trying to get the bracelets instead. Let me know which one you would like and I will work on getting some for you.

Howdy Taylor,
Leah grew up hearing me make up poems that always started with "Roses are Red..." I thought maybe you would enjoy one that I made just for you.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
This hug comes
Just for you.

Your eyes are bllue
Your smile is bright.
We love you, Taylor,
So keep up your fight.

Do your exercise daily,
Do what doctors say.
And very soon,
You'll be home to stay.

How was that? Not too bad huh? I've been trying to send this to you for days but have had nothing but trouble. I'm not as good on the computer as you are.
We love you bunches, Larry and Charlene (Leah's mom & dad)

Hello Taylor-
I would first like to introduce myself, my name is samantha, I am in the sixth grade, Mrs. Garcia's class. I heard that you went shopping online again. Shopping is one of my hobbies as well. I see that you were able to get a great pedicure, you are pretty lucky. I haven't ever had a predicure but it would be nice to have. I heard you had ice cream, what is your favorite flavor? My favorite ice cream is any flavor, I just really enjoy eating ice cream. Hope you get well soon.
