Taylor slept well last night and woke up in a great mood. She has been having some discomfort due to gas building up in her stomach. She has enjoyed having family members lay in the bed with her. She likes to cuddle with them. Taylor has been watching movies and playing games. She continues to keep her spirits high for the most part. Getting into her chair is not a favored task for Taylor during the day. Again it is explained that it is for her own good and she still doesn't care. She just doesn't like to be moved. Taylor got a visit from her brother this evening. She was excited to see him. He was able to get her to start talking around the trach so that she doesn't have to rely on mouthing the words. She is learning to get air by the trach and is now speaking sometimes. She had a great time playing with her brother.

Hello Taylor-

I am so glad to hear that you were able to sleep well last night. So did you play your new game at all today? I'm sure you beat your dad again, GO TAYLOR!! I see that the chair is not one of your favorite things to do however, think of it as an adventure. Maybe close your eyes imagine your going on a jungle safari and think of all the animals that you will encounter on your adventure. If you don't like the jungle but I know you like animals or think of it as an adventure to some place else that you really enjoy. Hopefully this will help. Hope to hear from you soon. Sweet dream, lots of prayers and love.

Love-
Andy & Kelli Garcia

Howdy Taylor, Sure was great to see you last saturday. Wasn't it funny to see Maddy in Shelley's purse? I'm so glad the nurses didn't mind that you had Maddy visit. Have you eaten all of Shelley's cookies? Or did your dad eat them all? I think it's fantastic that you are able to talk sometimes. See you later, TTFN, You'll have to ask Leah what TTFN means. Love you bunches, Larry and Charlene

Howdy Taylor, We are so very sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. That's a bummer. I'm sure you will feel better very soon. You are such a good little fighter. Bet you had lots of company this weekend. We hope to come see you next weekend. Maybe we will be able to see you up in your chair!!! I'm so excited that you can feel it when someone touches you. That sounds like you've been working hard on your exercises.
We love you and keep you in our prayers, Larry & Charlene
